Slayton's book drew rave reviews from dozens of America's best known fathers, including Governors Jeb Bush and Sam Brownback, Senators John McCain and Joe Lieberman and Pastors Tim Keller and Luis Palau.
The book is now in its third printing and big plans are being laid for a FIRE UP Fathers Program in conjunction with churches across American for Father's Day.
Slayton credits the success of the book to three factors: "First, it's a huge unmet need in our country. There are tens of millions of dads in America who want help on the fatherhood front but don't know where to turn. Secondly, guys know that the right tools are key to getting any job done right. The style of the book is positive and encouraging, because with the right tools we can all be better dads...starting today. Thirdly, my friends at Regal/Gospel Light have been good partners from the very beginning...and God has blessed this partnership."
