Epic Collectors Releases Sci-fi, Fantasy, and Non-Sports Collectibles Beta Site

Epic Collectors, a new member of the sci-fi and fantasy collecting community, is excited to announce the launch of its marketplace website for buying and selling cards, games, and memorabilia.

PRLog - Jan. 23, 2013 - LINCOLN, Neb. -- Lincoln, NE (PRWEB) Jan 23, 2013--Epic Collectors is new but hopes to impact the sci-fi and fantasy collecting community positively with the tools available on www.epiccollectors.com. With a no-commission pricing structure, Epic Collectors will provide users with personal web stores and facilitate sales in collaboration with PayPal.

"Epic Collectors focuses on giving subscribers identities on our network. With a store, a collector should be able to operate it freely, not working around the rules and fee structures of the site hosting them," said Will Reese, a senior developer at Epic Collectors. "We want to promote trading and our community with a good service." Web stores hosted by Epic Collectors allow unlimited numbers of listings, unrestricted by per-item fees or time constraints within the duration of the account subscription. Only Paypal costs apply to transactions.

Businesses competing with Epic Collectors like eBay exact flat per-listing charges and take a percentage from sales. "Private collectors shouldn't have to pay for hundreds of listings that aren't guaranteed to sell quickly. Big sites like eBay are good for small numbers of expensive, easy-to-sell items. For everything else, our subscription structure is much more profitable and accommodating to sellers. Its good for the entire collecting community when it means that people can make whole collections public," stated David Wasson, Epic Collectors project architect.

Collectibles sold on Epic Collectors range in type from trading cards to comics to memorabilia. Sci-fi universes including Star Wars, Star Trek, and Battlestar Galactica and fantasy ones like Magic the Gathering, Pokemon, and Yu-Gi-Oh! are available to buy and sell. Epic Collectors employs a tag-based organization system so users aren't limited to predefined categories, potentially allowing any number of different product universes. Epic Collectors provides customizable inventory management tools, including a spreadsheet importer and exporter, and a unique web address for subscribers' stores.

Collectors or gamers looking for a place to publish and sell or buy sci-fi, fantasy, or other non-sports collectibles can visit http://www.epiccollectors.com to browse or http://www.epiccollectors.com/join to read about account features and join. Subscriptions are discounted from $40 to $25 for four months for the first fifty users who join.
