EDP Europe To Exhibit At Data Centre World

PRLog (Press Release) - Jan. 23, 2013 - EDP Europe is delighted to announce its participation in next month's Data Centre World Conference & Expo.  Data Centre World is fast becoming the UK’s leading data centre event. EDP Europe will be on stand J50 and will be exhibiting an exciting alternative data centre flooring system from the Swedish raised floor company Bergvik (http://www.bergvik.com).  Bergvik is a Global leader and trusted supplier of raised access flooring systems and seismic bracing solutions for World class, mission critical data centre, telecoms and computer room environments.  The high lateral stability of Bergvik’s Iso Floor means that all panels can be removed without the risk of the floor shifting.  It allows up to 25% more equipment on the same footprint compared to traditional pedestal floors, and up to 70% fewer pedestal supports than with conventional static floors.

EDP Europe will be showcasing new features on its bespoke Cold Aisle Containment system.  Cold Aisle Containment is a cost effective way to efficiently cool high density server installations. By enclosing the entire cold aisle, the cold air is contained and prevented from mixing with exhaust air from the hot aisle. This can improve cooling efficiency by as much as 30%. The EDP Cold Aisle Containment solution can be retro-fitted to existing rows of cabinets no matter what their height, width or manufacturer may be. EDP can also offer a Hot Aisle Containment solution.

Preventing bypass airflow is an important first step to improving energy efficiency. EDP Europe will be exhibiting airflow management solutions including KoldLok, HotLok and our latest blanking panel solution – EZIBLANK®.  EZIBLANK® is a 6U blanking panel sheet scored at 1U intervals allowing it to be “snapped” to the required U size.  EZIBLANK® has a tool-less design thanks to its innovative pop-in clip.  Using blanking panels is important as it prevents hot exhaust recirculating to the front of the rack where it can interfere with cool intake air.
