Christmas & New Year Celebration at Velassaru Maldives

Festive celebration began on 24th December with a special Christmas Eve feast and live music at Fen Bar (http://www.velassaru.com/indulge-fen.html). Christmas spirit was spread throughout the island with a special visit from Santa who brought a gift for every child. Guests were also able to enjoy a unique Christmas Bubbly Brunch with an abundance of culinary delights.

The celebration continued with the “Purely White” party held on 26th December with live performance by DJ Vifak. Everything was white for this special night only, from lightning, decoration to desserts. Dress code for everyone in the resort was naturally “purely white”.

The New Year’s Eve began with a delicious buffet dinner featuring interactive food stations, raw bar, chocolate haven and many more offerings. The countdown to the New Year named ‘Blue Year Party’ was held in the special Blue Lounge. Blue bracelets, hats and masks were given to guests as party accessories as they were dancing the night away.

It was a night to remember with an amazing fire show to say good bye to 2012 and to welcome 2013.

The first day of the New Year was celebrated with the BIG brunch and live entertainment at Vela & Turquoise restaurant. What better way to start the New Year than with a celebration.
