Embark Music Supervises and Provides Music For The Fallbrook Film Festival

Jan. 22, 2013 - PRLog -- Embark Music has been selected to Music Supervise and provide music for The Fallbrook Film Festival which takes place in Fallbrook, California. This full-length cinematic trailer has been delivered to UltraStar Cinemas. Derek Lefholz, owner of Embark Music, Music Supervised the implementation of music provided by composer Don Spangler for the ambiance and overall theme of the trailer.

No stranger to Music Supervision, Derek supervised the full-length feature film Life of Lemon, which was distributed by Filmworks Entertainment. During his tenure as Music Supervisor for the feature film project that stared Dan Lauria, Beth Grant, Willie Carpenter, Rachel Minor and Barry Kneller, he commissioned composer, Don Spangler, and ran the entire Music Department. Lefholz now resides in Kansas City, Missouri where Google has recently began laying it’s lighting fast internet and TV service known as Google Fiber. This new Gigabit Internet service is providing Kansas City area business and residents with Internet speeds in excess of 100 times the norm across the country. Derek can already see the encroaching importance of this part of the country in the film and television industries among others. In fact, one area, “Startup Village”, in Kansas City has become known as the Silicon Prairie due to the influx of Internet startups moving into the village. In 2011, Kansas City was named #2 under New Orleans, LA, as Best City for Young Entrepreneurs, in a poll ran by Under30CEO, and has more recently been featured in Forbes Magazine as one of the best places for business and careers. It was also the only U.S. city named to Frommer’s Top 10 Travel Destinations for 2012. Derek was noted as stating, “It’s an exciting time to be in this part of the country. The entrepreneurial spirit is reaching a fever pitch. I’m originally from a small town in this area but things have changed greatly since my time spent in Nashville and most recently Los Angeles.”

Located in Southern California, Fallbrook and its surrounding communities are a beehive of creative energies: artists, sculptors, writers, actors, musicians, dancers and just plain folks… all having one thing in common, the love of film. So in 2006, the non-profit Fallbrook Film Factory was formed to foster filmmaking activities similar to community theater, which evolved the successful Fallbrook Film Festival, now entering its fourth season. Fallbrook was also the home to one of Hollywood’s all-time filmmaking legends, Frank Capra, who spent much of his time on his Fallbrook ranch during the height of his filmmaking career. The Capra family’s support of Fallbrook has allowed them to host a very special award in his name.
