Saturday’s game was a highly contested one, as the Vipers held their home opener, and fell 113-101 to the Express. Ja’Shon Mixon led the Express with 21, and Justin Hamilton, Devon Young, and William McDonough each finished with 15. Jamal Webb had 13pts & 10 assists, and Almin Hodzic had 10pts & 12rebounds for the Express.
Sunday’s home game, featured more of the same, as the Express downed the NJ Bullets 126-81. From the start, the Express jumped on the Bullets, who were short handed. Ja’Shon Mixon continued his hot shooting, with 29pts, knocking down 7 3’s, from beyond NBA range. Devon Young finished with 20, and Almin Hodzic 14, 10rbds & 3blks, along with Justin Hamilton’s 10 & 13rbds paced the Express, who had all 11 players score. With 5 players scoring in double figures, 3 players with 10 or more rebounds, and 2 players with over 5asts, the Express are clearly a very deep team.
