-- Dana Jolly, BSN, RN, LNCC, principal of Jolly Consulting LLC, has been appointed to the highly esteemed American Legal Nurse Consultant Certification Board (ALNCCB) for a three-year term beginning in 2013. The ALNCCB is a six-member volunteer board responsible for developing and maintaining a certification program in legal nurse consulting. The Legal Nurse Consultant Certification (LNCC) program is the only certification program in the field endorsed by the American Association of Legal Nurse Consultants (AALNC) and accredited by the Accreditation Board for Specialty Nursing Certification. The mission of the ALNCCB certification program is to promote expertise and professionalism in legal nurse consulting by recognizing practitioners who have met defined experiential qualifications and demonstrated knowledge through a certification examination in the specialty.
Participation in the LNCC process demonstrates professionalism and commitment, and allows community recognition of those legal nurse consultants who have achieved a higher level of skill and expertise within the specialty. Similar to physician board certification, LNCC is the gold standard for demonstrating knowledge and experience in legal nurse consulting practice.
Dana Jolly, a graduate of Clemson University School of Nursing, is a board certified legal nurse consultant with over two decades of practical experience. She is recognized as a nurse specialist and an expert in the field of legal nurse consulting. Ms. Jolly is a published author and an invited lecturer at Virginia Commonwealth University School of Nursing. She frequently presents at industry conferences and lectures to clinical healthcare provider audiences on medicolegal topics.
