Jan. 22, 2013 - PRLog -- LAS VEGAS, NV.  Dr. Joseph DeMaria has been recognized by Worldwide Who’s Who for showing dedicated excellence in the field of Occupational Safety and Health Engineering.

Dr. DeMaria is a highly decorated U.S. Air Force veteran, honorably discharged after more than 20 years of active duty service.  After his military retirement in January 1996, Dr. DeMaria founded Americana Safety Associates, Inc., and has dedicated the past 17 years to advancing his company as a leader in expert solutions for safety consulting and litigation support services.

Headquartered in Las Vegas, NV, Americana Safety represents 22 specialized practice areas from a diverse staff of safety and engineering professionals.  The company presently has 15 satellite offices across the United States and in London, U.K.

Dr. DeMaria is an internationally recognized safety engineer, author and executive with 35 years of progressive experience. He offers his skills as a board certified safety practitioner and forensic safety engineer while overseeing the daily operations of his firm.

Dr. DeMaria graduated from Columbia Southern University with a Ph.D. in Occupational Safety and Health Engineering.  He also holds a Master's degree in Business Management from Webster University, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Aeronautical Engineering from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.

As an author, Dr. DeMaria published his doctoral thesis in Human Factors Engineering.  He has also authored 30 safety and health compliance programs, three safety engineering books, and more than 60 environmental, health and safety compliance training courses that have been purchased and used by hundreds of companies throughout the world.  

He maintains professional affiliations with the following prestigious organizations: American Society of Safety Engineers; Institute for Safety and Health Management; National Safety Management Society; National Fire Protection Association; National Safety Council; and the International Institute for Safety & Risk Management (European Union).
