The objective of the program is to get resorts involved in educating and informing timeshare owners about DAE and the exceptional benefits offered, such as the opportunity to explore the hundreds of resort options available through the DAE website at http://daelive.com and to request an exchange with no up-front costs involved. Requests for vacation options can be submitted at no charge – with payment needed only after the selection has been confirmed.
“Some resorts started with the program in December and owners who became members did so with no hesitation whilst welcoming the introduction and information received,” said Paul Edkins of Dial An Exchange South Africa. “Owners sometimes know that there are other options but may be uncertain, especially when it comes to the additional fees and exclusivity created by other exchange companies.”
All participating resorts are equipped with marketing material in reception areas for owners visiting the resort. Timeshare owners are introduced to DAE upon check in at the various resorts, with the receptionist presenting the owner with information and promotional material and assisting with joining up new members.
In addition to the free membership and low exchange fees, owners also receive a 50% discounted voucher at the resort to use for their first exchange made with DAE SA.
“It’s not about numbers; the key is happy transacting members. Once they start transacting and they experience the service, engage with the staff and confirm their reservation, they will always be a DAE member,” Edkins concluded.
