SwapNights.com - Accommodation Owners Can Now Swap and Stay Worldwide

Jan. 22, 2013 - PRLog -- www.SwapNights.com is exclusively for professional accommodation operators to swap a stay at their accommodation with other operators around the world. The website has been developed by a small, passionate team lead by Simon St John, an Australian-based author, travel writer and marketer.

There are a couple of regional websites facilitating exchange between local accommodation operators however SwapNights.com has created the first platform for truly worldwide exchange to take place.

According to Simon St John, 'This is a first for a website to truly embrace all styles of accommodation and facilitate worldwide exchange exclusively between owners of accommodation.'

The site has just come out of beta testing and is now open to membership and enjoys support from a growing membership on all continents worldwide. Membership is expected to grow in 2013 to 10,000 members worldwide.

Membership

Membership is open to any professional accommodation operator with any style of accommodation, including B&Bs, Inns and guest houses as well as hotels, vacation rentals, glamping etc. Membership is also open to second and holiday home owners (membership is not open to home owners, who are well-catered to by home swapping sites).

SwapNights.com recognise that owners of one style of accommodation might choose for their own holiday to stay in a different style of accommodation to their own, and that is why SwapNights.com offers a diverse membership representing all the different styles of boutique accommodation.

Swaps Based on Mutual Agreement

Members agree between themselves on the basis for a swap - there are no complicated rules or point systems imposed by SwapNights.com. So swapping at the same or different times, and on what terms and payment for any extras, is all open for the parties to agree between themselves.

Generate Paid Bookings

There is also the opportunity to generate paid bookings (if a member proposes a swap that does not suit, there is the option to offer a special rate and generate a paid booking instead).  

Background

SwapNights.com is operated by The Invermay Press which publishes travel guidebooks in Australia including titles in the 'Beautiful Accommodation series. SwapNights.com is the first of a new breed of collaborative consumption (exchange or swap) sites planned by the publisher. The site has been developed by Australian and European technicians..
