The company has two main mobile version products, one is a one time only cost and the other has a small monthly hosting fee associated with it.
Owner Martin Walker explains "We wanted to give small businesses a few options. These 2 packages will allow us to make any future edits to the mobile site for the client, or the client can make edits themselves with the hosted version."
The company offers special pricing for any websites that are built in WordPress as they specialize in WordPress CMS.
The mobile site product is a different version of the main site that only shows some of the main content info, such as contact info, a click to call button, a map and some major navigation points.
"More and more people are accessing the Internet via their Smartphone, iPhone, Tablet or other mobile device" says Walker, "so it is important that the mobile version of the site is very simple, provides the basic information and gives the visitor the option to go to the full site any time." Walker adds.
"Sites like CNN.com and Wikipedia have had mobile versions of their sites for a while now and it's time that the small business owner catches up." Walker says.
Branding is maintained on the mobile version of the website, by emulating the same colors and using the companies logo.
After the mobile version of the site is built, a small piece of code is put on the clients main site to automatically redirect any visitors to the correct mobile version, the one that will fit the device they are using.
Businesses interested in seeing what the difference is between a regular site and a mobile version can visit http://www.redlandswebdesign.com on a desktop and then visit the same site from a Smartphone.
