Follow on Google News | How Will PTO "People and Traffic Optimization" Affect SEO - Phil Miranda Explains.People and Traffic Optimization, AKA "PTO" is the new concept quietly replacing SEO (Search Engine Optimization) as the Google favorite in how content authority is measured and indexed.
In this article Phil Miranda will briefly breakdown one of the keywords in SEO, and PTO and that word is "optimization" The word optimization states Phil Miranda is defined as making something (in this case a website, blog, or video) as fully perfect, functional, or effective as possible. A website, or blog is made relevant in search results by the content found within the aforementioned modalities shares Phil. Let's take a blog for example that is dedicated toward the breeding of German Shepard dogs. With older seo strategies the blog owner would need to optimize his/her entire blog to reflect the relevance of content that search engines like Google would consider authoritative and would rank high within the organic search results and thus that site, or blog owner would fill their blog, with as much German Shepard relevant keyword content as possible, strategically using bold, Italics, and "Quotations" Other seo strategies would include domain name relevance. Again, let's use the German Shepard blog as an example in this case. In order for the German Shepard blog to have "optimal" results within the search results, a domain name such as "germanshepardbreeding" The older seo strategies required a lot of back linking with similar content rich sites, as well as keyword stuffing each blog post with the desired targeted keyword which would be considered as authoritative content by the search engines and given high PR's within the big three search engines like Bing, Google, and Yahoo. This kind of seo strategy worked very well for even the novice search engine marketer explains Phil Miranda, who would want to rank their content high, but proved to be a double edged sword within the search engine optimization marketing community, because a lot of content being indexed was no more than spammy material designed for "search engine optimization," With the ever increasing sneaky tactics implemented by seo strategist, more, and more content was being indexed that was not all relevant, nor authoritative in nature, and now search engines like Google were being littered with duplicate, non relevant content specifically created to interact with Goolge robots rather than the people the content was meant to reach in the first place. In other words, people went from creating quality relevant web content, to rehashing old content with spinner software which would scrape a high ranking blog post or website for example and automatically spin the text (content) within that blog post or website to match what the search engine spiders would consider relevant, rich content and not the human web surfer. Phil, also notes that social networking sites such as Facebook, and Twitter created a newer method of marketing which is called trend marketing, which is a precursor to People and Traffic Optimization now being ushered in by Google, and generally pioneered by Bing. In my opinion says Phil Miranda, seo is not completely dead, but a lot of the older techniques have been replaced for a newer, much richer experience for the human web surfer rather than the search engine spiders.
