David Consulting Group Announces New PMI-certified Agile Workshop

New workshop combines Agile and Lean techniques to help IT professionals develop a robust understanding of Agile development principles.

PRLog - Jan. 22, 2013 - Malvern, PA – David Consulting Group (www.davidconsultinggroup.com), a leading international software development consulting firm, has announced its newest Agile offering, the “Agile Practical Techniques Workshop,” PMI-certified for 20 PDU credits.

Combining key concepts from both Agile (e.g. Scrum and xP) and Lean (e.g. Kanban and Kaizen), participants will leave the workshop with an understanding of what Agile is and how to apply it, as well as an understanding of how to develop and deploy processes used in Agile projects.

“Agile knowledge is increasingly becoming a necessity for IT professionals, and its use has obvious benefits for any organization, from increased team communication to better delivery time and results,” said Tom Cagley (http://www.davidconsultinggroup.com/why/management_team.a...), David Consulting Group’s Vice President of Consulting Services and Agile Practice leader. “This course is certified by the Project Management Institute (PMI), and it is a great starting point for those interested in learning basic Agile concepts or building on existing knowledge for optimal Agile development success.”

The three-day workshop is delivered utilizing the same Agile techniques taught in the class, providing reinforcement and showcasing how successful Agile can be when implemented properly.

Depending on attendees’ level of familiarity with Agile, workshop content can be tailored to provide customized guidance, focusing on key principles or struggles most relevant to that class. The course content is ideal for a range of IT professionals, including:

        - Product Owners

        - Program Managers

        - Quality Assurance Analysts and Managers

       -  Business Analysts and Software Managers
