“Boyd has made many significant contributions to Alliance’s growth and with his leadership, we have won many important projects in the Canadian wireless market,” said Dave Perry, Senior Vice-President, Wireless Infrastructure, Canada for Alliance Corporation. “I am pleased to announce Boyd’s promotion to Vice President; with his extensive industry knowledge and leadership expertise he will provide great value as he leads Alliance into its next stage of growth.
Mr. Cowan has held several positions with Alliance Corporation and has been with the company since 1994. In 1998 he moved to Calgary, Alberta to develop Alliance’s business in Western Canada. For ten years, he grew the business and was responsible for developing relationships with key mobile carriers. Alliance recently moved the Western operations to a new facility which is over three times larger, an indication of the importance of this market to the company.
Since 2008 he has held the position of Director, Wireless Infrastructure, Canada. In this role he lead the company through a period of strong growth and product innovation, working with a key Canadian carrier on the development of a hybrid fiber optic cable for Fiber to the Antenna deployments. Mr. Cowan holds a Bachelor of Arts in Management & Economics from the University of Guelph.
