“The sponsorship will strengthen the foundation of the event and provide new opportunities for enhancements that build on our mission of celebrating and sharing arts experiences,”
Lerick presented a ceramic vase, created by St. Louisan Gregg Rasmusson, to Sterling Bank Chairman and CEO Ken Poteet as a gift of appreciation for the record sponsorship.
The Saint Louis Art Fair, one of the top shows in the nation for fine arts and crafts, is part of Cultural Festivals, a not-for-profit organization.
Since founding Sterling Bank in Poplar Bluff, MO, in October of 2004, Ken Poteet has guided the bank to impressive heights. Today Sterling Bank has additional locations in Van Buren and Clayton, MO, and is ranked in the top one percentile of de novo banks nationwide. Sterling Bank grew a full 35 percent in 2011, and is one of the top five performing banks overall in the State of Missouri.
Mr. Poteet began his banking career shortly after graduating from Southern Methodist University’s Graduate School of Banking and from Missouri State University, where he earned a degree in computer information systems with a minor in marketing. He started in banking with one multibank holding company and one single-bank holding company in Poplar Bluff, and also consulted for the group’s captive data center.
Sterling Bank will soon open a new branch in Chesterfield, MO., a suburb of St. Louis.
