For Foreign Companies Investing in the U.S. - A Better Solution

Prominent U.S.Business Professionals Form New Company to Assist Foreign Investors Entering the U.S. Market.

Jan. 23, 2013 - PRLog -- For foreign companies wishing to invest or to expand their business into the United States, the hurdles are many.  Cultural differences in language, finance, investment rules, immigration, legal aspects, technical help, etc. create formidable barriers to transitioning to America.

To provide an overall one-stop solution, several key players involved in international business development have formed a company whose sole purpose is to facilitate foreign investment in the United States.

The company is called Invest-American L.L.C. - http://www.invest-american.com - founded by several prominent principals, including Ron Phipps, a prominent real estate broker in Rhode Island, who in 2011 was President of the National Association of Realtors; Wayne Carroll, an investor and President of the Jason Corporation, a real estate investment firm in Washington, D.C., who, in 2010, was President of FIABCI USA, the U.S. member of the International federation of real estate; Bob Koch, President of the prestigious architectural firm of Fugleberg and Koch of Orlando, Florida; Barry Beitler, President of the Beitler Commercial Real Estate Services located in Los Angeles who is actively involved in the EB-5 Foreign Investment Program; as well as several other well-known and highly-regarded members. They all share the belief that America, in 2013 and for the next several years, is poised for a rapid influx of foreign investment.

Ron Phipps states that the original concept had been floated within a select group after an inquiry was made from a prominent broker in Frankfurt, Germany who wanted assistance in helping a Swiss firm locate a manufacturing plant in the United States.

“So, we began to study to find out who and what is available for “non-aligned” foreign investors to facilitate their needs,” he said.

The question became all the more serious when Phipps overheard an address made by a potential Taiwanese investor during a conference of the Asian American Association of Realtors held in New York in early 2012. During that talk the speaker lamented that, in spite of his prodigious efforts, he was unable to figure out how to establish a manufacturing facility in the U.S.A. because the issues were “so very complex” and, after five years of trying he would not be moving forward. He scolded the group for not having the foresight to provide such a service.

"I realized, then, that a new service is truly needed”, Phipps stated, “It really underscored the issue and prompted me to tell my colleagues that I was “all in”.

Bob Koch, an Orlando Architect, who has been very active most of his business life designing for Disney, MGM and other area attractions, was approached by the government in the late 70’s, as part of its initiative to counteract the threat of communism extending itself in the Caribbean. He was asked to create a program designed to foster trade and development with the USA among nations within the region. That began a life-long avocation, which continues today, to continue that effort. And, as recently as 2009, he led a US delegation promoting investment in the USA to the Middle East. It was during this time that he produced a “road map”, outlining for international investors what it took to successfully invest in America. Because of this, he was invited to join the venture.

Barry Beitler runs a large and highly successful commercial real estate company in the Los Angeles basin and, when approached to join INVA, because of his company’s involvement in EB-5 activities, he also jumped at the opportunity.

The group has three significant advantages that make its positioning unique:

First, playing off of the “Road Map” designed by Bob Koch, the company has created a one day seminar, which it provides, without charge, to well qualified investors/companies - an explanation, in great detail and clarity, of what is needed, besides a product or interest, money or a willing team, to successfully invest in the USA.

Second, using the resources provided through Associated Realty of the Americas, a referral group of hand selected, well qualified members strategically located throughout the USA, the firm has highly qualified “boots on the ground” in almost every conceivable location throughout the country. Consequently, local issues and nuances, which can become agents of disaster for unknowing investors, are much better understood. And, as the client moves forward, having trusted local specialists in the real estate field, can result in enormous time and cost savings to the project.

Third, the organization has made a great deal of effort to team up with a broad list of affiliates it can recommend to clients, for the purpose of filling in gaps of knowledge and expertise needed in each unique individual venture. These are not merely attorneys or accountants; they are true specialists in wide ranging fields from robotics to timber investment, from title insurance to Indian gaming. Totally independent, they are available at a moment’s notice to be used by the investor to sort out the most difficult of issues.
