The main goal of continuing education is to assure the highest possible standards for the occupational therapist profession. All licensees are required to participate in continuing educational activities that will build upon existing knowledge and competencies gained from prior educational experiences.

Continuing Education Requirements
Florida-licensed occupational therapists are required as a condition of licensure to complete a minimum of twenty-six (26) hours of continuing education every two years, with a February 28th deadline, odd years. Of the twenty-six (26) hours, twelve hours of continuing education can be earned through home study.
