Stamford Innovation Center To Host Norwalk-based etouches in its New ‘Startup Success Series'

etouches CEO Leonora Valvo Will Share Story Behind the Software Company’s Growth

Jan. 21, 2013 - PRLog -- As part of its newly launched “Startup Success Series,” the Stamford Innovation Center will host Leonora Valvo, founder and chief executive officer of etouches (http://etouches.causeroom.com), for the second installment of this popular event.  A rising leader in the software industry, Ms. Valvo will share how she transformed an event outsource agency into an award-winning management platform for all phases of the event lifecycle.

“We’re passionate about what we do because we’ve been there,” Ms. Valvo said. “We know what it really takes to pull off exceptional events, and we wanted to be sure our efforts were spent on truly valuable activities.  I look forward to sharing my story with my fellow entrepreneurs.”

With more than 25 years in the travel and event management industry, Ms. Valvo founded etouches to provide professional event planners, organizers and marketers with tools to streamline the planning and execution of world-class events.  The company now ranks 50th in Inc. magazine’s list of the fastest growing software companies in the United States and is also ranked as number 610 in its sixth annual Inc. 500/5000, an exclusive ranking of the fastest-growing private companies.

“Leonora is a great example of an experienced professional who saw a business problem that needed a better technology solution — and then built a business focused on solving that specific problem,” said Peter Propp, vice president of marketing for the Stamford Innovation Center.  “We know that anyone running a startup or thinking about creating a startup will learn a great deal from Leonora's etouches story.”

Last month, the Stamford Innovation Center held its first “Startup Success Series” with Luke Scott, founder and vice president of marketing at deets, who discussed the evolution of this platform for syncing contacts and sharing information.

The event will be held at the Stamford Innovation Center (175 Atlantic Street) next Thursday, January 24, starting at 7:00 pm.  To register, visit the Stamford Innovation Center Meetup page: http://www.meetup.com/Stamford-Innovation-Center-Meetup/events/94965762/.
