The film was shot in Atlanta, Georgia in an unheard of schedule of 10 days. Atlanta based production company 2-G Multi-Media, Inc (2-G, Inc) also headed by Greg Galloway, took on the task of shooting the film. Galloway says “Shooting movies in 10-12 days is just what we do”. His crew comprising of 7 of his closest friends and family have been producing web series, reality shows, music videos and feature films since 2007. Galloway, COO of the boutique production company got his start 12 years ago producing his first film “To Have and To Hold”.
The film is set to be a summer hit with a fast-paced flow and a hard-hitting Atlanta hip-hop soundtrack. This groundbreaking film will be shot on the latest technology in digital cinematography using the newly released Canon t2i/550D DSLR camera and will have a look un-matched in the industry.
The film is Co- Directed by industry rising star Greg Galloway (The Anatomy of Love, To Have and to Hold) and veteran actor Thomas Mikal Ford (Martin, Harlem Nights, Highway) “I wanted to create a filmmaker’s dance movie. Everyone loves hip-hop dance movies but they sometimes lack the depth of most films. Beat Street 2012 attempts to bridge this gap.” Says Greg Galloway also the films Producer. In addition to great dancing and fresh locations the film has a story line that will keep you guessing until the very end.
