School Fundraising Program Launched by Southglenn Country Club

Jan. 20, 2013 - PRLog -- (Centennial, Colorado) The Southglenn Country Club intends to generate over $20,000 into schools in Littleton, Centennial, Highlands Ranch and other nearby areas. Much like incentives providing dollars for retail or grocery shopping, the club will return a percentage of membership dues to participating schools.

“This club is a wonderful place for to create lifelong friendships and memories,” said Mike Hanbery, who sits on the club’s Board of Directors, “and many of our activities cater to families with children. The only limitation on the program’s earning potential for schools is the club’s membership capacity.”

Founded in 1965, the club is located at 1489 E Easter Ave. in Centennial, just a few blocks west of the Streets at SouthGlenn shopping center. The club offers healthy lifestyle choices including tennis and golf programs for juniors and adults, a private outdoor pool, recreational swim team for ages 5-18 and social events.

For each accepted new membership application with accompanying payment listing your school as the referral source, the club will waive $50 of the $150 initiation fee and contribute $50 to the participating school or PTO.

Beginning last week, the club delivered soft copies of New Membership Applications and a flyer to help promote the fundraising opportunity to over 30 targeted public, private and parochial schools in the immediate geographic area surrounding the club.

All memberships are annual and begin March 15. The following membership levels are eligible:

• Full Family: $840.00 per year - All family members can enjoy the entire facility.

• Family Swim &Tennis: $420.00 per year - All family members can enjoy the private pool and tennis courts.

• Full Individual: $470.00 per year - Any individual can enjoy the entire facility.

• Individual Swim & Tennis: $300.00 per year - Any individual can enjoy the private pool and tennis courts.

• Full Couple: $680.00 per year - Any couple can enjoy the entire facility. Not limited to spousal relationships, this membership level is perfect for single-parent/single-child households.

The program runs through April. Hanbery acknowledged that while the new program is an, “experiment,” he was, “confident” it would become permanent if it proved, “beneficial for all parties.” He also noted that while the club had delivered direct invitations to a number of Littleton, Centennial and Highlands Ranch schools, “any school is welcome to apply for participation.”

Eligibility is determined by the Southglenn Country Club Board of Directors. Representatives of interested schools and other interested parties are asked to please email for more information or to schedule a tour of the clubhouse, tennis and pool area and 9-hole par 3 golf course.
