Crowdfunding magazine launches as regulations loosen

PRLog (Press Release) - Jan. 21, 2013 - Until the JOBS Act of 2012, crowdfunders (those who give limited funding to entrepreneurs) could only receive compensation in the form of a non-monetary reward, however, they will soon be able to receive company equity just like SEC-qualified (accredited) investors. When fully implemented this spring, the JOBS Act will, for the first time in 80 years, make it legal in America for the general public to get a stake in a company in exchange for funding.

“This means,” says Jeff ‘SKI’ Kinsey, founder of GoLive Crowdfunding Magazine, “that crowdfunding, already enormously popular, will explode with opportunities for everyday people to become part of the ‘next big thing’ like an Apple or a Google or even a Kickstarter, the internet site currently best known for crowdfunding.” During the past 17 years, small business created 65% of all new jobs in America. Kinsey expects the number of new available jobs to increase dramatically as the change in the crowdfunding law takes hold and the number of new business startups continues to grow.
