PRLog (Press Release) - Jan. 19, 2013 - Tech Now News has discovered that more people are not changing their passwords often enough and when creating new passwords they are making them far too weak. A lot of people seem to use the same password for email account, social media accounts, bank accounts, etc. This leaves them open for major mobile attacks on all levels.

Mobile Attacks are on the Rise
For the past two years the words “mobile attack” have been mentioned on an increasing rate. It is predicted that 2013 will the year that mobile attacks really take off and start affecting more and more mobile customers.

At Tech Now News they have recognized the trend of weak passwords as well as the rise of mobile attacks. Because of these trends they have a series of articles and videos that lead people on the right path for proper mobile security (http://technownews.com/186/dont-be-lazy-with-your-passwor...). These articles focus on the importance of mobile security, while the videos demonstrate what users can do to boost their mobile security based on what phones they are using.

According to CIO.com Seth Goldhammer, director of product management at LogRhythm (http://logrhythm.com/), provider of a security information and event management (SIEM) IT platform, says “We will see the first major malware on a mobile platform," and "There has already been malware that has made it into the Android Play Store and even Apple's App Store. Given that the large majority of mobile devices run without any type of malware detection, it is inevitable that we are prone for a major, disruptive malware possibly posing as an update for a popular application."

Even Google has taken note of the increase in mobile attacks and weak mobile passwords; they are proposing a product that makes your password physical instead of just virtual. These could be small USB-based log-on devices, that you simply plug into whatever device you are using to ensure a secure connection to include your virtual passwords.

That is why Tech Now News is taking mobile security very seriously and informing their readers of the importance of using a strong mobile password, as well as strong passwords on all their accounts.
