Global LGBT Activist Omar Kuddus on Sharia law and its implications for Great Britain

Global gay advocate Omar Kuddus gives televised commentary on what Sharia law imposed on Great Britain would mean regarding civil law and the peace and love of Islam.

Jan. 19, 2013 - PRLog -- Omar Kuddus  is a global LGBTQ rights advocate based in Great Britain.

He is the founding member of GayAsylumUK ( a voluntary organization which receives no public funding ) and is a regular columnist for Gay Star News.

Kuddus is classified as an expert and leading authority on issues regarding  homosexuality and Islam,  and is also classified as a gay Muslim activist.

He has successfully challenged government policy in the British House of Lords,  as well as EU treaties in Strasbourg,  and has several laws named after him.

Here , he gives commentary on Sharia law and what it would impose on civil law in Great Britain:  For Kuddus,  Islam was founded as a religion of peace and love and therefore has a responsibility to stand aloof from the promotion of intolerance.

Nor should religion impose on civil law.

As more gay Muslims challenge the sort of religious zealotry and its effects upon democratic and civil notions of justice,  activists such as Kuddus illuminate the limits of religious dogma and the duty of religion to maintain its sphere of influence separately from government legislation.
