Jan. 18, 2013 - PRLog -- Eve Brandstein's Poetry in Motion has a 30-year history of bringing leading actors, writers and poets together to create exceptional spoken word events.  At 8pm on February 9, 2013 at Beyond Baroque, Eve will present "Funny Valentine" a spoken word event. Best selling writer & filmmaker Jen Lynch is scheduled to appear.

Born into art and film in 1968 to filmmaker, David Lynch and artist, Peggy Reavey, Jennifer has truly been raised on film sets and in studios. From acting in films to producing, writing and directing them, she has her hands and heart fully immersed in the process.

She penned the screenplay for BOXING HELENA at age 19 and directed the feature at 23.  Her novel, THE SECRET DIARY OF LAURA PALMER stood on the New York Times Bestseller List for 14 weeks, and has been translated into 20 languages.  She has directed commercials for the SCI-Fi Channel, music videos for various artists, and produced the surrealist and experimental guerrilla films of Burke Roberts and Jim Robbins.

Her feature film, SURVEILLANCE took Best Director and Best Actress at the New York Horror Festival, (the first time a female has won this prestigious award) and was given a standing ovation at the CANNES FILM FESTVAL in France in the OFFICIAL SELECTIONS. It won BEST PICTURE and Best Director at Sitges, Spain.

Jennifer’s latest feature film starring Vincent D’onofrio, Eamon Farren and Julia Ormond, entitled CHAINED, is playing theatrically in Europe and is currently available in the states on DVD.

Jennifer has also just completed writing the feature film script, A FALL FROM GRACE, (Tim Roth, Vincent D’Onofrio, Paz Vega, etc) due to shoot this April/May in St. Louis, and is directing episodic television regularly.

Jennifer lives in Los Angeles with Artist, writer, Jim Robbins and daughter Sydney Lynch.

Founded in 1968, Beyond Baroque Literary Art Center is dedicated to literary and cultural production, contact, interaction, and community building.
