Due to the federal deficit, Medicare fraud initiatives are on the rise as a way to recoup funds. Mr. Indest wrote an article on what to do if a physician, medical group or other health provider receives a notice of an audit and site visit from Medicare, the Medicare Administrative Contractor (MAC) or the Zone Program Integrity Contractor (ZPIC).

Mr. Indest’s article, "19 Tips to Prepare You for a Medicare Audit and Site Visit,” is a list of ways a health provider can be prepared for his or her audit.
