Brooklyn Domestic Violence Attorney Gets Client's Case Dismissed

Jan. 18, 2013 - PRLog -- In the matter of the State of New York v. K.M., the firm's client was criminally charged with violating : NY Penal Law 120.00, Assault with Intent to Cause Physical Injury; NY Penal Law 120.15, Menacing in the Third Degree; NY Penal Law 110-120.00, Attempted Assault with Intent to Cause Physical Injury and NY Penal Law 240.26, Harassment in the Second Degree. The criminal charges in this case stemmed from an incident wherein K.M. had been dating a woman for over 7 years and an alleged argument ensued over money. The woman became aggressive toward K.M. and K.M. defended himself against her assault. Subsequently, the woman called the police and our client was arrested. After numerous court appearances, and protracted discussions with the prosecutor, the case was dismissed on the prosecutor's motion. As a result, our client was able to obtain a Certificate of Disposition from the criminal court, which he can present to his employer, as proof that all of the criminal charges lodged against him have been dismissed.
