Truxton's American Bistro To Host Next Great Citrus Dessert Recipe Contest

PRLog (Press Release) - Jan. 21, 2013 - This season brings a variety of succulent citrus fruits including kumquats, limequats, blood oranges, ruby red grapefruits and Meyer lemons to name a few. Truxton’s American Bistro in Westchester, CA is seeking the most creative home cooks and amateur chefs to participate in a dessert recipe contest and to utilize citrus fruit as their main ingredient.  The contest begins Monday, January 21, 2013 and all entries must be received by midnight PST on Monday, February 11, 2013. The top three finalists will be chosen by the Truxton’s culinary team and then invited to attend a luncheon, February 21, where a panel of judges will choose the winning recipe. The winner will receive a $100 gift card and their recipe featured on Truxton’s New Seasonal Menu for a limited time.  

Rules: The dessert recipe entry must be an original recipe created by the person entering the contest and must not have been previously published. The recipe must contain citrus fruit(s) as the main ingredient. Recipe ingredients must be seasonally available and can be sourced locally. The recipe must also be easily multiplied (for foodservice quantities). Entrant must list all ingredients in exact common U.S. household measurements and include step-by-step preparation instructions. Finalists must be available to attend luncheon. (Truxton’s American Bistro welcomes all U.S. residents over the age of 18 to compete.
