Sedgwick Expands Insurance Strength in Seattle

Jan. 17, 2013 - PRLog -- Sedgwick LLP, which has one of the largest worldwide insurance law practices in the legal industry, announces the addition of Robert Meyers as a partner in its Seattle office. Meyers represents insurers throughout the Pacific Northwest and nationally in complex, high-value coverage and commercial disputes.  

“Bob brings both his expertise in insurance coverage and litigation and an outstanding reputation in the Northwest legal community.  He is a trusted advisor to national insurers and will be a leader in the expansion of our firm’s legal services to insurance clients in the region,” said Bruce Celebrezze, chair of Sedgwick’s Insurance Division.

   In addition to his insurance practice, Meyers maintains a commercial litigation practice in which he advises clients in contract, business tort, governance, copyright, trademark and related disputes.

“Since the opening of the Seattle office in 2011, we have added several attorneys and been able to position ourselves with companies that require an ‘on the ground’ presence in the Northwest.  Bob’s addition is a key component of that strategy for our insurance clients,” added Christopher Marks, managing partner of the Seattle office.

   Meyers earned his J.D. in 1994 from Syracuse University College of Law.  He received his B.A. in 1991 and his M.B.A. in 2011 from the University of Washington.
