2013 Lifeguard Certification Dates Just Announced!

Jan. 17, 2013 - PRLog -- IRVINE, Calif. -- CPR Training Professionals in partnership with Safe Swim just announced the 2013 American Red Cross Lifeguard training dates for Orange County California.

American Red Cross Lifeguard Training provides lifeguard participants with the knowledge and skills to prevent, recognize and respond to aquatic emergencies and to provide care for breathing and cardiac emergencies, injuries and sudden illnesses until emergency medical services (EMS) personnel take over.

Lifeguard training candidates must be at least 15 years of age, able to demonstrate 300-yards continuous swim, using the front crawl and breaststroke, and able to retrieve a submerged 10 lb weight from 7 feet of water, then swim 20-yards with the weight using legs only within 1 minute 40 seconds .

Upon successful course completion, lifeguard training candidates will receive an American Red Cross Lifeguarding and Standard First Aid certificate valid for 2 years, and a CPR/AED for Lifeguards certificate valid for 2 years.
