Amherst Senior Citizens Foundation Strengthens Board of Directors

Announces elections of Lynn Casteel and miriam treger honig to three-year terms
 
Jan. 17, 2013 - PRLog -- AMHERST, N.Y., Jan. 17, 2013 – The Amherst Senior Citizens Foundation (ASCF) announced the elections of Casteel Schoenborn principal Lynn Casteel and RealtyUSA’s miriam treger honig to three-year terms on its Board of Directors.  ASCF is a non-for-profit organization committed to raising and distributing funds to support services and activities that promote the welfare and vitality of senior citizens in the town of Amherst.

“We’re pleased to be adding two new members who provide complimentary skill sets to our already strong and engaged board of directors,” said ASCF Executive Director Dal Giuliani.  “The Amherst Senior Citizens Foundation will benefit greatly from Lynn’s extensive marketing and public relations experience, as well as miriam’s deep understanding of the Amherst market.”

Lynn Casteel brings more than 25 years of marketing and communication experience to the board.  As Principal and co-founder of the investor relations and corporate communications firm Casteel Schoenborn (http://www.csirfirm.com/), Lynn provides strategic counsel and support to a growing base of local and national clients on investor relations, public relations and crisis communications. Lynn earned an MBA in finance from Binghamton University and a BA in marketing from Clarion University.  In addition to his recent appointment to the ASCF, Lynn is a member of the National Investor Relations Institute.

miriam treger honig has over 30 years of experience in the Western New York real estate industry, where she has spent the majority of her career as a licensed associate real estate broker and office manager of RealtyUSA’s Amherst-Clarence office.  miriam has been a long-time member of the NAR, BNAR, and NYSAR, of which she is currently a director.  She is a NAR trained mediator, holding the ITI and Green designations. A graduate of SUNY at Oswego, miriam also serves as President of the NYS Education Foundation, Vice President of Temple Beth Zion’s Board of Trustees, a Somali Bantu Community Assoc. of WNY board member, as well as an advisory committee member at Yad B’Yad.
