Battle of the Bands Promises an Afternoon of Popular Christian Music

PRLog (Press Release) - Jan. 17, 2013 - Fort Myers, Florida – An afternoon of popular Christian music is on tap when national recording artist Jonny Diaz headlines Battle of the Bands, a concert from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday, January 26, at Estero Community Park to benefit the Verity Pregnancy & Medical Resource Center.

Diaz’s hit song "More Beautiful You" has charted on American Christian music charts, and his major record label debut album of the same name has charted on Billboard magazine's Top Heatseekers and Top Christian Albums charts.

In addition to Diaz, concertgoers will be entertained by noted local bands Who is Jon? and For a Season, which will release its new “Lionhearted” CD this month, and Christian rap artist Ima ChristAholik. The encore presentation will be a “battle” between the worship bands from Summit Church, Life Church, First Assembly of God and McGregor Baptist Church.  The winning band will receive recording time donated by The Mix Factory Studios in Bonita Springs.

Discounted tickets can be purchased online at www.SWFLBattleoftheBands.com. Prices are $8 for adults and $5 for youth 11-17, with children 10 and younger admitted free. Tickets also will be sold at the gate at $10 for adults and $7 for youth.
