Jan. 18, 2013 - PRLog -- Denham Springs, LA -   Narconon Louisiana, a long term drug rehab (http://www.drugabusesolution.com/2013/01/narconon-riverbend-releases-video-of-latest-graduate%E2%80%99s-testimonial), received one of the highest validations given to a Narconon treatment facility on December 17, 2012, by Clark Carr, President of Narconon International.  They were “Very Highly Commended” for over five years of stellar production and expansion.

Since its opening in late 2006, Narconon Louisiana has graduated 438 students from their drug rehabilitation program.  In recognition of those efforts, Narconon Louisiana was honored by Clark Carr, President of Narconon International with a Very Highly Commended certificate.

The difference between Narconon and the “traditional” approach to rehab lies in the underlying philosophy. Far from agreeing that “addiction is a disease,” Narconon addresses drugs or alcohol as a solution to a life situation or problem for which the addict has no resolution.  This may be a physical, emotional or spiritual problem that the drug or alcohol use eases for the individual. The drugs themselves then become the “solution”.  The Narconon New Life Program helps the person uncover and then resolve the life situations or problems which preceded the desire for drugs.

Through the delivery of the Narconon New Life Program, Narconon Louisiana has helped hundreds of substance abusers find stable drug-free lives.

“We are very proud of the work our staff has done and also the work of each and every person who has come through our facility, for it takes both courage and perseverance to address a substance abuse addiction.  I could not be prouder of the staff and the students here at Narconon Louisiana,” said Cathy Steiner, CEO Narconon Louisiana.

Clark Carr added, “They have worked relentlessly to create a Model Narconon Center which salvages hundreds of lives each year.  Narconon Louisiana has become known for its high retention and completion rates.  It is the place where even the toughest cases can be turned around.”

The Narconon program has been helping people get off drugs since 1966. Today, you can find Narconon centers in over 45 countries. Over the years, Narconon has received numerous recognitions and letters of acknowledgements for its work in communities around the world. Narconon's work has also been covered in many articles and magazines.
