Recap: Solé Bicycles Presents Goldroom, Moon Boots, U-tern at 2013 Launch Event

Jan. 16, 2013 - PRLog -- This past Friday, January 11th, Solé Bicycle Co. hosted their 2013 Launch Event featuring performances by Goldroom, Moon Boots, U-Tern, Tropicool and Bixel Boys.  Solé also unveiled more of their signature Artist Series bicycles – with submissions from Taylor Dunfee, Sloth, Jeff Weins, Kelcey Fisher, MAR and Diego Valdivia.

Solé is a bicycle/lifestyle company based out of Venice Beach, CA, that designs and sells quality and affordable fixed gear and single speed bicycles.  Solé has shipped bikes to every state and over 20 countries.

Most recent press for the booming company has been in Inc Magazine, Entrepreneur, Vogue, The Huffington Post, Gilt Groupe, Forbes, CNN Money, Bloomberg, LACanvas, 944, and more. Solé started in downtown LA in 2009, but now is headquartered in their Venice Beach Gallery.

Solé Bicycles held their Launch Event at the V-Lounge in Santa Monica.  Carefully choosing a venue on the Westside, Solé accommodated over 650 guests at the event.  Upon entering the sold out event, guests were greeted by various hand painted bicycles – part of Solé Bicycle Co.’s  signature Artist Series bicycles.

First up were the sets from Bixel and Tropicool, two CA locals warming up the V-Lounge with their frothy, funky summer-daze sounds that set the tone for a huge night with some of the top nu-disco around.  Goldroom hit the decks around 11pm and things really started to heat up as he got the room moving with some favorites “Sweetness Alive” and “Fifteen.” The good vibes were flowing at this point.

Next up out of Chicago, Moon Boots kicked off his set with live vocals from Alison Valentine on her popular song “Peanut Butter.”  Followed up with other dance-floor gems such as “Running From”, Moon Boots had this place in full dance party mode.

And to close out the night, U-Tern (half of Oliver) took the stage and sent this party into outer space.  With Oliver's new EP, Mechanical, due out soon, he proceeded to grace the audience by previewing tracks such as "M.Y.B." as well as their collabo with A-Trak in "Disco Nap."

The Solé 2013 Launch Event was a huge success and the company expects to host another event closer to spring.
