Quest CE Reveals 2013 Financial Advisor Survey Results

PRLog - Jan. 16, 2013 - MILWAUKEE -- In its seventh year of circulation, Quest CE, premier provider of insurance continuing education and FINRA firm element training, is proud to present the results of its industry authored white paper, “Financial Advisor Survey: Capitalizing on Continuing Education.” On November 17, 2012, Quest CE invited over 50,000 financial advisors to participate in its annual survey. The purpose of the study was to discover how advisors view continuing education and the wholesalers who offer it.

The survey results reveal that there is an open market opportunity for wholesalers to provide continuing education to expand their industry reach, increase product sales and build business relationships with advisors. When asked, over 75% of advisors indicated that when informed that a wholesaler is coming into their branch to offer continuing education, they will ‘always’ or ‘usually’ attend the session. Research also concluded that a majority of respondents believe that wholesalers offering continuing education are more knowledgeable about the products and services offered in the financial services industry, in comparison to wholesalers not offering continuing education.

“Wholesalers capitalizing on the advantages of offering CE are in a position to excel and win in today’s increasingly competitive markets,” said Manager of Business Development Jennifer Greene. “Research reveals that wholesalers who offer CE generally build stronger, lasting relationships with the advisors they connect with.”

On top of that, nearly 90% of advisors said that they would be interested in a CE voucher card offering the opportunity to take an online CE course if their wholesaler was not offering a live instructor-led continuing education session.

“This is further proof that financial advisors are looking for ways to fulfill their state insurance continuing education requirements,” Greene added.
