-- DALLAS – Ron Widup, president and CEO of Shermco Industries, was named to the Who’s Who in Energy 2012, published by the American City Business Journals.
Widup has 31 years in the electrical power transmission, distribution and generation industry with a focus on remanufacturing, service and engineering. In talking to the journals about the future of the electrical power industry he discussed one the next big developments within the industry.
“Our industry will see the integration of control systems and communication protocols, with a focus on global harmonization of standards for intelligent (smart grid) applications, along with monitoring of equipment health and status while online. All of this pertains to predicting remaining and/or useful life of equipment.”
