Jan. 16, 2013 - PRLog -- TEMECULA, CALIF. Jan.13, 2013 – The Tango Caminito Dance School – an international dance company based in Fallbrook, California, will host their second annual “Tango & International Dance Carnival” including-- variety

show, Tango lessons and dance party, on Saturday, Jan. 26th at IVCBT Dance Studio, 41760 Rider Way, Temecula. The event promises to be both instructive and entertaining.

Organizers and professional dancers Elena and Victor Panky travel to Argentine frequently to advance their teaching skills under some of the best Tango Masters in the world. They are thrilled at the opportunity to host their second Temecula event. Proceeds from this event go to charity. “Last year’s event was a big success; we raised a good amount of money, and had a lot of fun in the process. We expect to do even better this year,” according to Elena.

Dressed in colorful Tango-style dress, with great music, and fascinating comments about dance, the teachers set a festive tone and deliver an authentic Argentine Tango dance experience. The show continues with variations of ethnic dances from around the world, including Lebanese dance, Belly dancing, Russian dances, Spanish dances, Vaganova Classical Ballet and Argentine Tango. Victor offers interesting historical anecdotal information for people who wish to learn more. He explains how authentic Argentine Tango evolved in the late 1800’s, the cultural nuances and the fit with both costuming and music. As he informs us, “the history of dance goes back to the very early days of the human experience.”

In addition to the charitable and festive purposes of the event, Elena reminds us of the health benefits Tango and other dances offer. As she puts it, “when people dance the Tango they relax, lose weight, improve strength, and increase longevity.”  Additional benefits are even more immediate. “Tango makes people feel sexier and less depressed.”

Awards will be given for best International folk / masquerade style costumes. The winner will take home a $250 gift certificate at the 5-star gated resort -- Rancho La Puerta -- in Tecate, located on the Mexico/San Diego boarder. The Argentine Tango dance lessons begin at 6:45 PM. The lessons are designed for beginners with no dance background, as well as for more advanced dancers, and are good for singles or couples. The Variety show starts at 7:00 PM. The discounted tickets are available for $12 per person and can be purchased online at: http://www.tangocaminito.com Admission at the door is $15.
