Jan. 16, 2013 - PRLog -- Orlando, FL. -The Collegium Augustinianum Graduate School of Philosophy and Theology recently confered the Doctor Divinitatis degree, honoris causa, upon The Most Rev. Archbishop Rowan Williams, former Archbishop of Canterbury and renowned Anglican Theologian.  Last year, the Collegium Augustinianum also conferred honorary doctorates in divinity to Cardinal Carlo Maria Martini, former Archbishop of Milan and scripture scholar, and to the renowned Catholic theologian, Professor Hans Kung, Professor Emeritus of Ecumenical Theology at the University of Tubingin in Germany.  The Collegium Augustinianum was founded in 1999 in Paris as an international Research Institute dedicated to Augustine of Hippo and his influence on medieval, modern and contemporary thought, especially on existentialism and phenomenology.  The Collegium Augustinianum also has a research institute in Philadelphia and a newly founded graduate school of philosophy and theology, offering non-residential research degrees. The Collegium Augustinianum is an independent and ecumenical Catholic college in the Augustinian tradition.
