When I Was 17 is half-hour documentary series that focuses on the adolescent years of MTV’s favorite stars. The series gives MTV viewers an exciting look inside the world of a celebrity BUT with a twist. It looks at their lives before they were household names, before they were legal, and before they were famous. When I Was 17 paints a picture of what these now famous celebs were like in the sometimes awkward teen years. MTV draws a complete picture of them at 17 looking at their favorite artists, favorite songs, favorite movies, favorite T.V. shows, the car they drove, the clothes they wore, their favorite hang-outs, and their memories of the historical events they experienced at 17. The show features photos and interviews with family and friends, as well as, the celebrity themselves. Some past celebrities on the show include Queen Latifah, Wiz Khalifa, Drake, Trey Songz, Ludacris, Kevin Jonas, Chris Brown, Bret Michaels, Nick Cannon, Dwayne Wade and many more.
