Despite having a complex heart condition, which at points interrupted his musical studies, Chamberlain overcame these to be awarded a first class degree in classical accordion from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland. Whilst studying there he was awarded the acclaimed Governors Recital Prize, with a subsequent live performance broadcast on BBC Radio Scotland’s ‘Classics Unwrapped’ programme.
Paul Chamberlain will make his Bridgewater Hall debut on the 13th of February with a solo recital as part of the long established Manchester Mid-Days concert series and will finish his tour in California with a recital at Seventh Avenue Church.
