Lynn A Schmidt*, EA, CTC, CFS, CSA, ARA of Lynco Financial & Tax Services, Inc. of Winter Haven, FL, would like to congratulate Paul M. Utter for passing the new Registered Tax Return Preparer (RTRP) exam administered by the United States Treasury Dept.  Paul is the Accounting Manager at the firm of Lynco Financial & Tax Services and has worked at the firm since 2011.  Paul graduated, with honors, from Webber International University in Babson Park, FL with a Bachelor's degree in Accounting.

The RTRP designation is administered by the United States Treasury Dept. and is the new licensing requirement for tax return preparers who are not otherwise considered "legacy" preparers such as Enrolled Agents, Attorneys or CPAs.  RTRPs must pass an IRS established competency exam which currently covers Form 1040 tax returns.  They must also complete fifteen hours of continuing professional education each year and adhere to ethic standards as set forth by the United States Treasury Dept.
