HOLLYWOOD defence system, used by the likes of Tom Cruise in Jack Reacher and Liam Neeson in Taken is taught to students in Grimsby.

Defence Lab is the Self Defence system being used in the latest Hollywood blockbuster, “Jack Reacher” starring Tom Cruise.

Defence Lab is a form of street defence which teaches students how to fend off one or more attackers while giving the chance to keep fit and meet new friends.

James Breakspeare, lead instructor at Defence Lab Grimsby, explained: “Defence Lab is a cultivation of the human instinct and works totally on an evolutionary process of what the human being does naturally. Defence Lab looks at many different aspects of street defence from pre - emptive tactics to what happens within your body when a self-defence situation arises.

The training is also conducted in a wide range of ‘real’ environments and from time to time even train in local nightclubs and bars with loud music, strobe lights and smoke machines.

Defence Lab is a new defence system created by leading self defence expert Andy Norman, the system is credible it is currently been taught to the United States police force the United States Army and is due to be taught to the UK police. Defence Lab is also the only UK defence system to be accepted into the International Association Of Law Enforcement Firearms Instructors.

Defence Lab is suitable for both men and women of all ages; in fact James’s oldest student is 62. There is also a completely unique children’s programme being released in the UK shortly. Classes are due to start at Samurai Hearts on Freeman street on the 6th of February at 7pm – 8pm.
