“The year of the Water Snake only comes around once in 60 years! It’s exciting for us to host this event and judging by the outstanding performances we saw last year, it’s going to be a celebration worth attending.
Gauteng citizens are great lovers of this international event, and we are going to give them what they are looking for with traditional acts, food, stalls, and various exhibitions”
From the authentic and symbolic opening ceremony, to the cultural variety show and, in a twist of Africa-meets-
“This event is going to be a melting pot of cultural ingredients. I think it is important for members of different cultures to learn about one another, plus it’s just fun!” comments Du Buisson.
The China National Acrobatic Troupe, established over 50 years ago with performances in more than 80 countries and regions, will round off the entertainment for the day with a gravity-defying display and daredevil acts. Visitors can make themselves comfortable on the grassy commons to enjoy the display on the stage and try the Chinese delicacies, tantalising their taste buds with the variety of food stalls present.
