About the Author: Donna Brooks came to America in 1986 from Poland. When she was a young girl, her father kept bees; since then she has always been fascinated with the insects and their hives. The Magic Amphora is her first book. The second book in this trilogy is titled The Golden Spindle and the third, The Starry Triangle. Donna lives in suburban Chicago with her husband and her two children, Paulina and Bart. Her children Radek, Agnes, and Bea are grown with children of their own.
