- Jan. 14, 2013 - SOUTHFIELD, Mich. --
November 2012 was not a normal month for Idea Mia, LLC. They reached a dramatic milestone when they shipped their millionth JetBag™ to customers in South Africa. Marco Cucco, Founder of Idea Mia, says, “My team and I are very passionate about creating simple and beautiful objects for the travel market, and we are very happy to have now reached this incredible milestone. We are also very proud to continue to produce JetBags that are made in America and are biodegradable.”
Idea Mia produces its award-winning products in Roscommon, a small town in Northern Michigan that is very proud to be the world-capital for wine bags. Here, workers at ROOC, Inc (Idea Mia’s assembly contractor) recently received new bags to work with, designed by Italian duo Paolo Selis and Francesca Pavese. The new “MilleRighe”
design is a celebratory effort, and marks a new direction toward gift-oriented consumers and stores. This very attractive design will be offered in single packages; later this spring, the JetBags will be offered in multi-unit boxes. This new design is sure to open doors for the Lathrup Village-based company and its flagship product, the JetBag.™ The JetBag™ is a portable, reusable, biodegradable wine carrier that protects a bottle of wine in transit. The JetBag™ will protect your bottles from physical damage and temperature changes, but is also super-absorbent to quickly soak up any spilled liquid if all else fails. This product is for sale nation-wide and distributed in 26 countries.
The JetBag™ for wine is part of the JetBag™ family of products and will be joined by the JetBag™ Tech (for recovering water-damaged electronics)
and the JetBag™ Cigar (a protective and humidifying pouch for cigars). Idea Mia also distributes the BagFit™ (a protective covering for your luggage). For more information about these products, please visit www.thejetbag.com.
