Hyundai Wins Prestigious Awards for Vehicle Design: Hyundai Azera, Sante Fe, and Veloster Turbo

PRLog (Press Release) - Jan. 14, 2013 - Hyundai recently accepted three 2012 GOOD DESIGN Awards for its 2012 Azera, 2013 Sante Fe, and 2013 Veloster models. Recipients of the GOOD DESIGN awards are chosen based on the decisions made by an international committee of cultural leaders, designers, and professionals presented each year by The Chicago Athenaeum: Museum of Architecture and Design in partnership with the European Centre for Architecture Art Design and Urban Studies.

These designers take their inspiration from the outside world and its elements to help create a strong, cohesive, and successful design. When the designers began to draw up the current Sante Fe, for example, they looked at the shapes created when a storm is forming. This created an aggressive yet sophisticated look. The Azera was inspired by the concept of flight, featuring a smooth, aerodynamic look. The Veloster Turbo, the sportiest face in the line-up, naturally features a more playful attitude than other Hyundai's, while still retaining the refinement that the manufacturer is known for.
