Jan. 14, 2013 - PRLog -- Bucking the trend in the toughest employment crisis graduates have ever encountered: 92 percent of London Business School’s MBA graduates in employment within 3 months after graduation

Ninety-two percent of last year’s MBA graduates from London Business School found employment within three months of leaving, according to latest figures from the School.

Alongside these high employment rates London Business School is delighted to report great international mobility and global perspective - the School’s MBA graduates are hot on the international market, with 53 percent of 2012’s grads choosing to work abroad.

“It’s great to see that, despite another tough year in the job market, our students remain highly sought after, with 92 percent of graduates being in positions within three months of graduation”, as Fiona Sandford, Exec Director of Careers and Global Business at LBS adds. A breakdown in the report reveals that 35 percent of grads went into the corporate sector, 33 percent took up the consulting sector and 32 percent went into finance. Moreover all of the London Business School graduates managed to secure placements in the summer months.

With the recently introduced components to its MBA programme in 2012, London Business School has chosen to reflect and challenge the global nature of its students. The Global Business Experience programme is designed to better prepare students for the international working world by engaging them in new and complex working environments. This involves working at five global locations, including New York and Boston, Mumbai, Hong Kong, Johannesburg and Istanbul.

“The idea is that by the end of their time here at London Business School, students will be able to do business anywhere in the world”.

More information, including details of locations and sectors the School’s graduates have ended up in, is available here.

Bloomberg BusinessWeek ranked London Business School’s MBA programme first in its international business school ranking in November 2012.
