UNCF Inaugural Masked Ball Saturday February 16, 2013 Oakland Marriott At City Center

UNCF (The United Negro College Fund)/Northern California will host the Inaugural Masked Ball (formerly the Annual Frederick D. Patterson Awards Gala) on Saturday, February 16, 2013 at the Oakland Marriott at City Center.

 
PRLog - Jan. 14, 2013 - UNCF (The United Negro College Fund)/Northern California will host the Inaugural Masked Ball (formerly the Annual Frederick D. Patterson Awards Gala) on Saturday, February 16, 2013 at the Oakland Marriott at City Center.  The Awards Gala recognizes the extraordinary achievements of individuals who have made significant contributions towards advancing the mission of UNCF.  This year, UNCF is pleased to honor SanDisk as Corporation of the Year, NFL professional athlete Nnamdi Asomugha and a special featured performance by R&B recording artist and honoree, Ledisi.  Approximately 500 guests representing corporations throughout the Bay Area attend the evening reception and banquet followed by the live auction and entertainment by recording artists.

UNCF’s mission is to increase the number of African American college graduates by ensuring students successfully transition to and through college.  UNCF accomplishes its mission by:

Ø  Strengthening the capacity of UNCF’s network of private historically black colleges to ensure high performing students
