Team Fostering opening new office in TeessideA LEADING not-for-profit fostering agency which provides carers for children and young people throughout the North East, Yorkshire and East Midlands, is to open a Teesside office to help meet demand.

team fostering logo Team Fostering, which already has branches in North Tyneside, Sheffield, Leeds and Mansfield hopes its new office at Belasis Hall Technology Park, Coxwold Way, Billingham, will not only provide support for existing foster carers in Teesside but also encourage people considering fostering to come forward. The launch of the Billingham office on Wednesday, January 23, will be marked with a ribbon cutting ceremony, attended by Team Fostering managers and existing foster carers from the Teesside area, followed by a speech from Assistant Director Vicky Davidson-Boyd. Instead, any surplus is re-invested back into the business to provide extra support for children and young people, provide foster carers with extra services and competitive rates of pay and provide local authorities with value for money services. Team Fostering Assistant Director Vicky Davidson-Boyd, said: “We’re opening the office in response to an increased demand for foster carers by the Teesside local authorities. “We know that, by having a local office, foster carers feel they are better supported by us as an agency and it will provide the perfect venue for local training and carer support meetings with the team of social workers who will be based here.” Team Fostering will also be inviting anyone interested in finding out more about fostering to attend one of their, free, information sessions at its new offices later this month. The first, on Saturday, January 26, will take place between 10am and midday with a presentation by a Team Fostering team manager at 10.30am, outlining the help and support, the organisation offers its foster carers. Alternatively, those curious to find out more can attend a drop in session at the Billingham office on Wednesday, January 30, between 10am and 4pm when they will be able to speak to a recruitment officer and members of the social work team.
