By: Kary Movers Ltd We understand that when someone suffers the devastation of fire, flood or other peril, it is a very stressful time. We also understand that this stress and reducing claim amounts for insurance providers is a very important part of the process. At Kary Movers Ltd., we have worked with fire victims, flood victims and other persons dealing with emergency situations. We have teams available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to respond to such emergencies. It can be as simple as attending a residence to move some items from a flooding basement to a location on the main floor of the home. While at other times we have been called out to provide late night total recovery and storage services for residents of an entire apartment complex. Our emergency team will enter the site once cleared by emergency personnel and assess what items are recoverable and itemize all of these items. Once a “tag and list” has been completed, we proceed to remove all items from the location and relocate the items to one of our 2 storage warehouses. Once all items have been placed into storage, the owners of the items can arrange to visit the secured warehouse and be given access to their items for review and to retrieve any items they may need short term. When the resident (or business owner if the victim of such event is a business of any sort) has a new location to move items into, they contact our office and we arrange to deliver the items at a time convenient for them subject to our availability. As we own 4 moving companies in the region, we are very flexible with our fleet so it is usually able to happen very quickly in order to get people settled and able to move forward with rebuilding their lives. We have experience in minor through to major situations including late night call outs which we are working by flashlights and portable generators in order to remove items quickly and efficiently, reducing the amount of damage and the overall claim to insurance providers. If issues such as asbestos are discovered after an emergency, our teams will be properly equipped with all preventative gear to continue working. Corporate billing accounts are available. We can invoice insurance providers if required, and as approved by the insurance provider in advance of services being rendered. A timely response assists in reducing the damages and in turn the amount of claim. If you wish to discuss any of our services, please feel free to contact me directly at any time.
