The contest was launched back in October 2012 as part of the company’s social media campaign, which has been gathering momentum since the autumn. Though they have primarily been concentrating on boosting their Facebook following, the Stretch team have worked hard to establish a strong presence on Twitter and also update their Google Plus account on a regular basis.
Founder Ellie Searle has unveiled plans to run similar online competitions in the near future to raise further awareness of her business in the local area.
“We were incredibly pleased with the response to the competition. We found that offering such a great incentive encouraged many more people to get involved in our Facebook page, which allows us to communicate with an audience that’s really interested in what we have to offer,” she says.
“Unlike other companies, we don’t just use this platform to advertise our latest offers and promotions. In fact, our aim is to establish our page as a great information resource for both practicing physios and those who are looking for help with a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions. As such, we post links to interesting content that’s relevant to our field of work and are always offering up quotes and inspiration to those who are struggling to recover from injury or keep their fitness plan on track. We’re happy to respond to questions and queries through this marketing channel too, as we want to be considered approachable by those who don’t know where to turn for professional advice.”
